My sort of score. There's another business that has a shed on the On Yer Bike property - Peter Anderson's "Carpet One", carpets and floor coverings. They leave their off-cuts and scraps in a heap outside the shed until there's a load to take to the rubbish dump. Every couple of weeks, i go down and see what i can scavenge - the vinyl scraps make good durable rooves for the model buildings.
Today, i finished painting the new room, for the second time, and went to see what i could find. There were 50, (2 1/2 boxes), of heavy-duty carpet tiles, more than enough to cover the new floor and they are brand-new.
These things don't need underlay, don't need laying, you just cut 'em to fit and lay them down. Voila! - instant floorcovering. Brilliant.
Thanks Pete.
cheers

Wow lucky you Steptoe! That's all a bit flash Mr Hunt, next you will be carpeting the model houses!
Charlie.
Steptoe? Lol. Yeah, that's me. I was recycling long before it was trendy - mostly 'cause i'm cheap and hate waste.
Must do a post about recycling.
Don't know about carpeting the houses, but i have started giving them vinyl floors. Does that count?
cheers
