It really is exceptionally dry for the time of year - no rain for weeks now and no fog either. It is so dry that we're able to paint the rooves - normally a summer-time job.
It doesn't take long to paint a roof, but there's hundreds of them and red paint lasts no time at all outside. Unfortunately, it was the day of the red roof and no-one painted their roof any other colour.
Everybody should have a friendly Giant with a big paint brush.
cheers

Hmmmm to all them people in your village you ARE the friendly giant with the big paint brush. Oh and as for the no rain for weeks, have you shifted?
Charlie.
Shifted Charlie? No. It never rains on the West Coast - didn't you know that?
cheers
Yeah, just like they tell me it never rains in Nelson!!!!
It DOES rain in Nelson - i saw it once, but, just like Don Brash, it was gone by lunchtime.
