These boards only go outside sometimes - i don't want them fading away and, besides, they tend to blow over when a wind comes up - need to find a better way of displaying them.
Anyway, the photos etc on them are from an extended article in the old 'Looking at the West Coast' magazine - about 15 years after Waiuta died. They're a good picture of life & work in Waiuta.
The little round-faced girl (wrongly captioned Jean Walker), was my mother and the skinny tennis-player lady on the right in the other one was her mother. A year of two ago.
