This was my Uncle Bill's shop on Buller Road. He closed it down when he retired because, "The town doesn't need four grocers".
The Christmas tree - a big old tree in the hospital grounds. They put lights on it every year, with a helicopter, and claim that it is NZ's biggest - not sure if it really is, but that's Reefton's story anyway.
I think that's all - hope so. (I'm getting practiced at uploading pics neway).
cheers

How did you fare in the big winds last week Mr Hunt? Hope you didn't sustain too much damage. Your wee village was the first thing I thought of when I heard about the winds on the news.
Charlie.
Thanks for thinking of us Charlie. The wind missed missed us, but the hail didn't - big hail-storm, lots of (minor) damage. Still, mustn't grumble, could have been a lot worse.
The rough weather can be a pain, but it's all part of the cost of having outdoor models - and it gives me something to moan about!
cheers
