Remembrance.

Rosemary's rose is flowering in the village.

Pray that we don't have to plant another one. Get well, Mitty!

A Nelson boy is now stable after he was rushed to Auckland's Starship hospital in a critical condition suffering a suspected case of meningococcal disease.

The nine-year-old was transferred to Starship on Wednesday from Nelson hospital with symptoms of the potentially fatal disease, which include fever, headache, vomiting, muscle and joint pains.

A Starship hospital spokeswoman said he will be shifted to a general ward this morning.

The Nelson Marlborough District Health Board said close friends and family had been offered a short course of antibiotics to decrease the risk of infection.
